Meet the amazing Anika Hobbs owner and and lead curator of Nubian Hueman an online retailer with brick and mortar roots in Washington DC.

Nubian Hueman features fashion apparel, accessories, art and beauty brands that reflect the African Diaspora. They seek a myriad of talented designers to bring their ethnic influences to modern silhouettes and product lines by using traditional patterns or ingredients.

With a mantra of “Bridging cultures, building futures…creatively,” the aspiration of Nubian Hueman is to flourish into a multi-faceted brand that provides a retail conduit to a target market of African-oriented fashionistas and art enthusiasts alike. Nubian Hueman not only believes in its mission to influence physical appearance, but also its ability to improve quality of lives.

Being highly influenced by African style, Anika started her business to find and cultivate artists and designers inspired by the African diaspora and other ethnic tradition.
